====== Aceeca ====== [[Aceeca]] is a privately owned electronics company based in New Zealand, that manufactures rugged handheld devices and PDAs - products they marketed as Industrial Digital Assistants (IDAs) and Rugged Modular Digital Assistants (RMDAs). ===== Aceeca Meazura ===== The **Aceeca Meazura MEZ1000** was a rugged Palm-OS based PDA. It featured a proprietary expansion port for expansion, known as MZIO [1]. The was designed to enable the addtion of task-specific communications and sensors, as well as enabling memory expansion too. The release gathered significant online press, for a non-consumer device, primarily due to the novelty of being a new Palm device released in 2010, when Palm itself had not released a new PDA in half a decade. Designed for specialized applications, such as medical or educational systems, the PDA32 was a customizable product, available for purchase by client businesses in several different configurations built-upon a base device.
